What Is a Web3 Wallet?
A Web3 wallet is the app or device that holds the private keys controlling your Web3 domain and digital assets. Whoever holds the keys holds the name, so the wallet is the control point for ownership, payments and transfers.

What is the difference between custodial and non-custodial wallets?
A non-custodial wallet means only you hold the keys: full control and full responsibility, and the standard for truly owning a Web3 domain. A custodial wallet is managed by a company that holds the keys for you; it is easier to use, but you do not fully control the assets inside.
What is a recovery (seed) phrase?
It is the list of words that restores access to your wallet. Lose it and you lose access to your domain; no registrar can reset it for you. Store it offline and never share it.
Do I need a wallet to buy a Web3 domain?
Usually yes, because the wallet is where the domain lives. FrenchQuarter.TECH customers can hold a purchased domain in their account and mint it to their own MetaMask wallet when ready.
